Some people arrive at their life's work in a straight line. I arrived at mine by listening to my body when it stopped cooperating — and asking the questions that led me from the pilates studio into the world of integrative functional health and nutrition.

What I discovered changed everything: so much of what we're told to simply accept — the gut issues, the hormonal chaos, the relentless fatigue — isn't inevitable. With the right knowledge and support, the body knows how to heal.

The Well Within retreat was born from that understanding — and built, quite literally, with love. My partner David Spanner, a luxury private chef, shares the belief that food is medicine, and that nourishment should be as extraordinary as it is healing. Together, we created the experience we wish had existed when we needed it most.

Who I AM

I'm Katia — and the honest version of my story is that I didn't just choose this work. It chose me.

Two decades of helping people move better through pilates and yoga taught me more than any qualification could. But it also showed me the gap — the same exhausted, dismissed, quietly suffering people sitting in front of me, doing everything right and still not feeling well. I started recognising that story because it was mine too.

When my own body started asking questions I couldn't answer, I stopped pretending I had them. I went deeper — into integrative functional health, nutrition, and the kind of root-cause thinking that conventional medicine rarely has time for. That search changed how I see everything.

I'm also mum to Elijah, who puts all of it into perspective in the best possible way.

What you'll get from me is someone who's genuinely been in the messy middle — not someone who has all the answers, but someone who knows how to help you find yours. Clinically informed, straight-talking, and absolutely in your corner.

WHAT I DO

My work doesn't stop at movement.

As an integrative nutrition coach, functional health mentor, and Reiki and breath work practitioner, I support clients across the full picture of their health — what they eat, how they recover, how they manage stress, and how well their nervous system is actually coping with the demands of modern life.

This looks different for every person. Your physiology, your history, your lifestyle — these shape everything. So rather than handing you a generic plan, we build something that actually fits your life and is sustainable long beyond our time together.

The goal is always the same: practical strategies that create real, lasting change — not another thing to add to an already overwhelming list.

We are living in a time where chronic stress, environmental toxins, ultra-processed foods, and lifestyle overload are having a very real impact on our health. What we eat, breathe, absorb, and are exposed to daily all contribute to how the body functions — and over time, how it begins to struggle.
